Who We Are

DIBS Distribution is a family-owned and managed UK business with over three decades of experience supplying the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector. Founded in 1987 by brothers Barry and Ian Payne — combining expertise in chicken production and national food distribution — we began by portioning and delivering fresh chicken to restaurants in Greater London.

Through continual investment in people, technology, product innovation, and facilities, DIBS has grown into one of the UK’s leading independent processors and distributors of fresh poultry portions, frozen and dry food products, and food packaging to QSR restaurants across England, Wales, and Scotland.

Our leadership team includes eight family members, with the co-founders still active in senior roles. Alongside them, our 55-strong workforce spans distribution, sales, food hygiene, engineering, and manufacturing, all committed to delivering quality and service you can trust.
 

Where We Operate

We run our operations from three sites on the Clock Tower Industrial Estate in Isleworth, Middlesex — just 3 miles from Heathrow Airport and 10 miles from Central London, with Twickenham Stadium only a mile away.

Our Suppliers

We source our fresh, Halal-certified chicken from a trusted European network of EEC-approved suppliers. Every new supplier undergoes a pre-audit, with annual audits to maintain our high standards. Our frozen, dry food, and packaging products come from carefully vetted global partners, all meeting EEC standards.

Our Products

We do not stock or sell pork or alcohol products, and we’re continually developing new products to match evolving tastes.

Our Chicken Processing

Our cutting plant is 100% Halal, MHS-approved, HACCP-controlled, and registered under EEC Health Mark UK 6397. Every product is carefully monitored to maintain temperature control, full traceability, and prevent cross-contamination — covering everything from purchasing to processing and distribution.

 

Distribution Network & Facilities

We deliver twice weekly to England and South Wales, and weekly to Scotland, using temperature-controlled vehicles with dual bulkhead compartments for multi-temperature loads. All vehicles are fitted with satellite navigation and sleeping facilities for drivers, ensuring reliable nationwide service.
